Snow on McFarlane Saddle

Tue 10 Apr, 2012 10:53 pm

Did Moroka Gorge walk over Easter and was lucky enough to catch up with some snow on the drive back from Horseyard Flat. The road from Wellington River (Tali Karng Carpark) to Horseyard Flat is unsealed and fine for 2WD; but take care due to slippery, narrow and winding mountain roads. Here are two photographs.

Looks nice! It's a funny neck of the woods. I woke up there once and there was a dead horse next me. I bunked down in the dark but I would have sworn it wasn't there when I went to sleep.

It's believed that I have been here with club members for a number of times. Look forward to meeting some old friends.

Reminds me of a place called "Dead Horse Gap"...

I've only encountered living horses at Dead Horse Gap though, Wildlight. Much nicer!
