Grampians Documentary - need help on adventure film festival

Postby Davidwilling » Fri 25 Feb, 2011 11:18 am

Hi

In January I completed a solo hike of the Grampains from Dunkeld to Mt Zero. It was the most amazing experience and I couldn't believe how different the terrain in from south to north. I shot a documentary along the way that I am starting to edit it and am looking to send it to outdoor/adventure film festivals, can anyone recommend some good ones apart from Banff?

In the mean time check out videos and footage here.

Best bet is to cut together a presenter 5-10 mins put it out there to get some reax - if feedback is good, put the whole doco together - no mean feat if you can pull it off, good luck!

Well done Dave. Good walk. Wondering if you could give an overview of the route you took?

Hi Dave, top work, I saw your 88.3FM interview. Like Bill P above it would be good to know some of the details of your walk route. Looking forward to your doco one day, keep us updated on it's progress. J

David

I'm organising the Adventure Travel Film Festival to be held in Bright 24-26 February 2012. I'm on the lookout for people who can help make the festival a success.

The festival is a celebration of adventure travel and aims to inspire people to undertake interesting journeys and record them on film. The festival will be held 24-26th February 2012 in Bright in the heart of the Victorian Alpine region. We've secured the support of the Alpine Shire who will be providing a cinema, promotion, areas for sponsors and an outdoor starlight screening venue. Bright Brewery will also help us host the event.

You can find out further information at www.adventuretravelfilmfestival.com. You can also follow us on Twitter @ausadvtravfest and on our Facebook page - Adventure Travel Film Festival Australia (don't forget to like us)

We have a large number of films already in the portfolio and are currently boosting our library with more Australian content.

I'm looking for help to publicise the event and for volunteers to deliver some workshops and talks.

Happy to chat through on the phone

Rupert
