Wilsons Prom

Postby wildernesswanderer » Thu 22 Aug, 2013 9:13 pm

I'm off to the prom with some friends over the November long weekend. Going down around the bottom of the prom and was wondering if anyone could give a idea of likely weather conditions in November and also what if any fresh water is available. Can't wait been wanting to do this for a while

Weather at the prom = 12 seasons in a day.

Give parks a call at the prom re: drinking water. Generally speaking there's usually plenty about depending where you go but boiling / treating it would be wise.

The fresh water is also generally very Tannin rich.

I don't usually put sugar in my tea but at the Prom even 3 sugars cannot disguise the tannins in the water at many of the water supply points around the Prom. I love the Prom. If the VIC. State Govt. allow private development inside the Prom . then it will be their undoing at the next state election.

At the main camping area, wombats are known to break.into tents for food.
