Dusky Track training

Postby dinna89 » Mon 09 May, 2016 1:38 pm

I'm looking to do NZ's Dusky track early next year, and am keen to get in some training in similar conditions. Does anyone have any suggestions for 1-5 night walks that might be good for preparing for the conditions on the dusky such as deep mud, river crossings, and tree roots. Would be happy to travel to other states, but Victorian/Southern NSW/Western SA based would be ideal.

Thanks for the recommendation wayno, you have a habit of suggesting walks which pique my interest, i'll have to add the south coast track to my list. Anyone less remote/more accessible suggestions?

If it keeps raining like this you might not need to venture too far.
