Found these; free maps for oziexplorer and avenza, 1:25,000 and 50,000 as well. No catches free. Can't do much better than that. They look ok to me - I've used some around the dandenongs and the central highlands so far. They're at

Thanks for the link Sarah ... and thanks to Jack for getting this resource together. I haven't done much walking in Victoria so don't have a stash of Victorian maps. Having these maps available makes trip planning etc so much easier as Victoria doesn't have a resource like Six (NSW) or List (Tas).

For all the tech savvy people out there just pretend you are talking to a technological dinosaur who knows very little about these things but I am interested in getting the 1:25000 or 1:50000 on an app on my iphone.I have recently used the free memory map 1:250000 and learnt a lot using this but want something with a bit more detail and a bit more accurate.
Any advice or instructions appreciated.
Apologies if this is off topic and will start another thread if suggested to do so.

Ive tried loading the 25k .tif maps into Avenza and they load as unreferenced? Is anyone using these maps in Avenza as I'm not sure if I'm missing something in the process?
Exact error is, "Unable to detect coordinates. You wont be able to track your location or use any map tools."

The Getlost 25k .tif maps seem to work with Oruxmaps. Copy-Paste the .tif maps into the oruxmaps\mapfiles folder on the Android. Run Oruxmaps and Refresh the OFFLINE maps to see them.
