Does anyone know of a "nice" way to get from the end of a GDT at Bacchus Marsh, to the start of the GDT on the top of Mt Bunninyong?

A bicycle way would be ideal, via backroads if possible,

Its a bit of a rabbit warren in regards to connecting roads but there is some magnificent countryside in that region. You could skirt through the northern end of Brisbane Ranges and then onto a road which overlooks the pretty Moorabool River Valley to Mt Egerton. It goes through some small villages called Ballark and Bungal. Fairly forested through there too.
