Bushwalk Australia

I will be visiting Anglesea in early October. Does anyone have suggestions/recommendations for 2-3 hour walks in the area?

Don't know much about it but I believe there is the Surf Coast Walking Track down there.

Not sure what is around Anglesea but if you can get to Lorne there are some great walks around there.I would recommend The Cayon or the track from Erskine Falls down to the coast (a few river crossings though)

Slim pickings around Anglesea unfortunately. There is however, good stuff at Aireys Inlet (10 minutes down the road) at Distillery Creek Picnic Area. One of my favourite half daywalks around is Currawong Falls walk (about 11 - 12 km circuit) or in the same spot is Ironbark Gorge (about 4-5 km circuit).
From Moggs Creek Picnic Ground here is a good walk out to a bluff overlooking the Great Ocean Road - forget its name though.
Back towards Geelong is Point Addis and a great walk in the Ironbark Basin - part of this is on the Surf Coast Track. Magnificent Sea Cliffs and pretty walking around the basin area. Lots to do in here. Along the beach is Pixie Caves as well (don't get wet though!)

At the back of Anglesea is Coogoorah Park (fun if you've got kids) and plenty of easy walking around the Anglesea River which you can make a few hours out of easy.

Other than that it's further afield to Lorne I'm afraid. Good suggestions above. I would also recommend Upper and Lower Kalimna Falls.

Just noticed on the Parks Vic website that the Iron Bark Gorge loop track is closed until further notice due to bridge damage from tree fall.

This is another great walk. Last time I was there (Feb this year) the track was closed due to fallen trees. Couldn't see anything about it on Parks Vic so I assume it's now open
