Does anyone have any idea what the insect is at 4:22 I saw at 1742m crawling across the ice? I was very surprised to see it.

No sunglasses or goggles in the snow? Snow blindness is a real risk.

A type of mosquito. Sometimes I have seen flame robins foraging insects cast on to the snow up there.
