Feathertop - wind?

Hi. Planning my 1st trip to Feathertop via the spur. I have sever COVID cabin fever so am itching to get away, however this #%*^ing wind is a problem. So the question is …. How windy it too windy. (I have a good 4 season tent and kit). Cheers!

Time to test how good it is. Good spot to do it. You can find some sheltered sites for a tent.

You can snow camp at MUMC hut, The Top of the Diamantina Spur near High Knob or at Federation hut. These sites offer sheltered and flat campsites with feasible escape routes if necessary. Take a snow shovel , snow pegs and micro spikes or snow shoes.
