Fires: snow camping at Mt Stirling area

Sorry for the newby question …. Debating with my son. Can we light a fire when snow camping around Mt Stirling. I say no.

You can light a fire inside one of the huts in the wood burner inside the huts in winter at Mt. Stirling. That is a yes.
