Just wondering how hard Mt Juliet is and if its a good walk?

It's just a steepish track, well-marked ... actually, when I did it, it wasn't so much well-marked as insanely over-marked; in some sections I could see five or six markers from any given spot. Good workout, great training walk, no views up top because of the forest.

Mount Juliet track was a mountain bike Nationals comp route from around 2003 to 2006, the staging point being Fernshaw, return via rough-as-guts logging and maintenance tracks (clockwise loops).
As is well known, views are scarce and unimpressive, the environment not given to enthusing a lengthy stay and, on foot, more than a little of "why bother!?" over any potential satisfaction.
