Hi all,
We were all prepped and ready to head on the Great Walk at Cooloola after literally a couple years of dreaming about it. Holiday's booked from work, gear packed, home made beef jerky vacuum sealed.... then the notice:
http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/park-alerts/11554.htmlWe are now laying in bed, sipping tea, depressed and not sure what to do now.
SO! Any suggestions? We have from this Sunday until the Friday to head somewhere. We don't want to blow a quarter of our year's holidays on sitting around home and would LOVE to do a walk of somewhere in the 100Km vicinity.
Any advice appreciated.

Conondale Range Great Walk.
I think its about the only one open. The others are closed due to high fire danger, the way the weather is up here now, it could be a while before there open.

Conondale is 4 days walking, if you have the time after Conondale, check out Sunshine Coast Hinterland great walk. You could fit in a couple day hikes.
