I haven't done any pack walking for some time, so preferably something that won't require a lot of paper navigation.
You did mention your limitations, so I didn't go any deeper & mention 'off track' overnight walks....a couple below.
Main Range Goomburra section
Mt Castle overnighter..remote tent sites @ Laidley Falls, the saddle before the dragons spine & the summit itself.
Amphitheatre + Blackfellow falls overnighter...better to use a hammock there as the land it sloping & dense in places, also ok for a day walk.
From the end of the road car park at the Mt Castle Lookout there old ridgeline 4wd track that's easy walking and you can use as an overnighter,
it overlooks the Amphitheatre + the falls from a different angle.
From Spices Gap.
Spicer Peak circuit..tent camp on the NW ridge.
There's a backdoor circuit or walk through to Mt Mitchel, camping on the SW ridge.
Or you could combine both peaks at the same time & return to the car at Cunninghams Gap.
The Main Range Traverse can be done in overnight pieces.
Remote camps here.
http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/parks/main- ... mping.htmlFrom either Swanfels rd, Emu Creek rd or Teviot Falls (The Head Rd) which has been re-opened recently.
....lots of other ridges & peaks to explore in that area as well. The Steamers viewed from a different angle from Mt Guymer,
Lincoln Aircraft wreck on Mt Superbus, which has a small campsite on top.
A bit more online 'off track' info here.
