Yes it was a very nice walk up. Short compared to regular day hikes but a lot more intense, for sure.
ofuros, your photos look more intimidating than the real thing but still it is a demanding hike-climb and a good head for heights is a must. No views from the top, unfortunately. Good views from the first to the second tier of cliffs though.
Notes:
1. It can be done without a rope. One of us actually didn't use it on the way down. He just down climbed all the rappelling sections. The first one on the very top is quite dicey, one slip and that would be it; so the two of us chose to abseil the section with the direct view of Vidler's Chimney, plus the fact that carrying a rope and not using it would be very silly.
2. Watch for gympie-gympie in the lower section of the mountain. I certainly know now what it feels like. Damn thing!
