Our family are considering doing a 4ish day kayaking trip on the Noosa Everglades this July. We have done a similar trip on the Glenelg river but otherwise have no paddling experience (we've done lots of bushwalking though). We would love some information from anyone who has done this - logistics (we'd be flying from Melbourne), what are the campsites like, distances/times etc, thank you in advance.

Very easy paddling on flat water. Camping areas at Fig Tree point (bring plenty of mozzie repellent), Harry's Hut and all the campsites on the upper Noosa River all the way to camp 15. You need to pre-book because the camping spots are small. From camp 3 also there is the option of a hike up to the top of the Cooloola Sandpatch. Very spectacular. My favourite camp spot is camp 13. Avoid lake Cootharaba in windy conditions. Harry's hut is the best place for a base camp. You can paddle all the way and into Teewah Creek for a treat.
