Maybe someone can shed some light on plans for a new KI walk to be developed by the SA park services? I can't find a lot online but apparently this has been 'open knowledge' for some time. Some of us are being asked to comment on aspects of the walk, which in itself is great to see, i'd just like some bushwalker/public feedback on the area and origin of the plan/area/impact before doing so (by private message is probably a good idea).

http://www.walkingsa.org.au/news/step-f ... ess-trail/ I think there was a bit of public consultation some time ago; I'm on the Friends of the Heysen mail list, might have come from there?

Thanks w2w.
There are some interesting developments in SA parks, I see the proposed 500klm 'Yorke walk' & 400klm Murray trail.
Some of the same re-visioning going on it seems. The KI walk looks like a worthwhile project, good coastal walking links.

Thanks p/h.
Iv'e never taken an interest in KI, fwiw sounds like the park service have settled on a fairly low key approach for camping/camp based tours (for the immediate future)..
