Just a warning to my SA colleagues.
After an average winter, and an early, dry and warm start to spring, it seems like there will be lots of snakes out in the coming months.
Saw what we think may have been either a python or red bellied black snake at Deep Creek last weekend, and today saw three snakes within an hour walking just north of Brown Hill along the Yurebilla trail in Adelaide - at least two of which were Eastern Browns, and one being quite a big boy of 6' or so and very well fed.
Keep your eyes open and make lots of noise!
