Heysen Help

Postby north-north-west » Sun 12 Jan, 2025 10:52 am

I'm looking at doing the Heysen end-to-end this winter, but my own way. This means taking the car to the mainland on the ferry, driving through most of the way to the northern end to leave food drops, then driving back to Adelaide and using public transport to get to the trackhead (and back from Parachilna).

This means I could really do with some kind soul with a spare, reasonably safe parking space to store my car while I'm walking. Thanks will be demonstrated via a suitable amount of the beverage of your choice.
Any takers?

I’m sure the Friends of the HT could assist, if you don’t find anyone here.

If all else fails or it's partially helpful then do consider the relatively new, multi-story Airport parking. It's very central and may not be crazy dear as it might be in Melb. and elsewhere.

Just a thought… may be easier to find a place in Cape Jervis to leave your vehicle, rather than Adelaide. But as per previous, I’d try the Friends first and see how you go.
