Hi
I understand that the trail is closed until the end of March but has there been an update on how the further has progressed and what damage has been done to infrastructure etc.
Hopefully the trail and ecosystem will survive relatively unscathed.
Cheers,
Brian

It's all open again.
https://nt.gov.au/parks/regions/alice-s ... ional-parkIn terms of impact the fire seems mostly to the north of the trail, impacted the trail between ormiston gorge and ellery creek. The eastern end is relatively unscathed. I used the following link to glean this info:
https://firenorth.org.au/nafi3/I do believe it would still be worth walking it this year, and I am planning to do so during May 2023.
