Secluded places to hike / camp in SA?

Looking for places where I can hike for a few hours to reach a secluded camp site or clearing where I can camp the night.

I want to avoid any crowds or large campsites.

There's plenty of small, secluded campgrounds in mt remarkable np.

Peruse the online Heysen Trail map.

We have camped several nights at Heysen campsites with no companions. Of course we are entering the fire danger season so options are becoming limited.

Try Eagle Waterhole campground in Deep Creek NP. Several walking options, including big loops if you have your own car and need to finish where you start.
