Hi just wondering if anyone can tell me when the pencil pines were damaged beside the plunge pool at Meander Falls. Other tree species seem unaffected but bark has been torn off the pines up to 3 metres from the ground. Did this happen in the 2016 flood or this summer maybe?
Thanks Wayne

That looks more like deer than flood. I saw a couple of similarly affected trees up on the plateau recently.
