SUMMARY-

Getting there: I parked at the national parks office carpark at Tewantin , then I walked up to the the primary school and caught a pre booked bus (Premier) which cost $20 and left at 4:30pm and arrived at rainbow beach at 7:30pm.

That night you can get your own accommodation where ever.

The trail is nice and wide and mostly covered by trees. Only afew trees and unmaintained section but overall it was really good.

Water: all the campsite had full water tanks and drop toilets.

The weather was 28 during the day and 23 overnight- I carried 3L of water which was adequate for me to make it between camp sites. But make sure you’ve got enough for your hiking style.

First day I did 47km started at 6am finishing at 4:30pm and camped at Dutgee Walkers Camp, second day was 43km and started at 6am and made it back to my car at 4:30pm. The ferry cost $2 to get across the river at Tewantin.

Overall would definitely recommend this to anyone new to multi day hiking. Very accessible, super easy trails to follow, mostly shaded, and nice camp sites with toilets and water. Take as many days as you need and enjoy it all!
