Just finished this walk with my 7 year old son. Had a ball out there and we had some lovely weather as well.

We walked in from Mapleton Falls and then camped at Ubajee and then Thilba Thaba and made our exit on Sam Kelly Rd, that was 23km. We met some others who had walked down the north side and the flood damage was pretty bad but nothing that would stop you or cause difficulty. The hard part is the 420m very steep gain up to Thilba Thaba, its brutal. There are some nice caves on this section and some aboriginal art work there as well which is very nice, you just have to slide around the escarpment from the caves a bit. Enjoy your walk.
