There's a note from someone somewhere in here who has just come of the Larapinta. He said there had been a fair amount of rain just prior to his walk and there was plenty of water.
That means Hugh Gorge will be interesting. There are two sections that usually have to be bypassed (usually by climbing the walls) even during normal water levels - depending on how long it takes for the water level to drop, they may be higher and harder work, and there may also be others.
The first is pretty early on, and you climb up on the eastern side. The water is deep there and I wouldn't advise trying to wade it. The second isn't so bad.
