How To Videos - Basic Food for Bushwalking

Sun 19 Aug, 2012 9:01 pm

Thanks everyone for your encouragement on the first video I posted.

Here's the next one... it's a bit of a basic getting started with food for overnight walks.

Again, this series is more for beginners and newbies, so if you know anyone who could benefit, please feel free to share.

Hi Lotsafreshair

Another great video. I have seen premixed PB and jam in the supermarket (It could have been a Canadian thing??), but they made it look a bit yummier :)
Some good tips there for people starting out.
One of my first slef organised overnightwalks, as a 16(ish) year old -We had a tin of pinapple and a tin of spam to make skewers from - roasted over a whisperlight - for our first night. Yeah things have improved since then. Although we did make packet mix chease cake for desert on the same trip, does not really taste like cheese cake but I still like the idea.

BTW try
Code:

that should work.

Looking foward to the next video

Matt :)

Another great video Lotsa. Cup-a-soup and creamy bacon carbonara are two of my bushwalking staples. :D

Thanks Lindsay. Gathering water, lighting a fire and waterproofing sleeping bag are next!
PS: Gotta love the staples!

Oops - There were some technical issues with the first YouTube upload of this video - these have been fixed and I've re-uploaded. Best place to always go for latest will be the blog at http://lotsafreshair.com.
Thanks guys!
