I always thought the term was "car shuttle" because you shuttle back and forth - like a shuttle bus. But there are quite a few reference in here to "car shuffles" to get to the start or end of a one-way walk.

The correct word is the noun "shuttle" a form of transport that travels between two places, "shuffle"a verb is what you do with cards or move restlessly without lifting your feet or even a dance (which many of us males do)
