Has anyone else come across the "Social Hiking"
http://www.shareyouradventure.com/ website? It's a way to "share your adventure" using social media and/or mobile devices, SPOT, ViewRanger etc. It's mostly focussed on the UK at present, but there's no reason it wouldn't apply to many of us. There's an example of a user who has been biking and hiking in Tassie
