Postby wayno » Fri 05 Apr, 2013 4:13 pm

if i can get motivated , drive to the coromandel and do the pinnacles walk, 360 view from 700m
otherwise th usual coast walking around auckland for me on the north shore for about 15-20k,
then up and down some local hills the following day
some hail forecast, that could be interesting....

I wish I had more on this weekend. Might go for a ride up the Maribyrnong River, but that'd be about it for me till a few weeks time when I head over to Tassie for a few walks.

The forecast is good in Tas so I'm heading over to Freycinet for the night with the family for a bit of fishing and ambles along the beaches :)

Well, we ended up going over to Flinders. It was beautiful day, mucking around under the jetty, spotting a large manta ray. Lots of fun.

Yer, Flinders Pier is a good little spot. We used to do our New Years dives over there.
And it would have been a Bull Ray. You don't get Mantas down here. Although the Bull Rays can get pretty big, and the ones over at Flinders are really cool with divers - you can even pat them sometimes.

Ohh, and my weekend was finally finishing off the AAWT - Speculation carpark to the Viking and back, with a lovely little wander along the Razor.
A real bonus because I was expecting to be working. :)
