How many of us admit to being hypothermic/hyperthermic and how many of these episodes happened more than once??
I have been struck by heat stroke once when living in The Alice and it was not nice but last year was the first time in decades I was hypothermic badly enough to scare myself a little.

I've had sunstroke twice (no, not heatstroke, I wasn't dehydrated), and mild to moderate hypothermia on a number of occasions. Before I got the drysuit diving (especially at Mt Gambier) has had me at the 'unusable hands/can't stop shivering' point a dozen times at least. Plus a couple of mild cases while walking. Never to the point of being in real danger - I was always aware of being sub-par and got myself into shelter as soon as practicable.
The second sunstroke case was the worst of it. In the Gammons, couldn't keep any water or food down, headache that started about ten mertres outside my skull, so dizzy I couldn't take two steps without bumping into or falling over something, couldn't focus . . . last time I went out in strong sunshine without a collared shirt and at least carrying a hat. Looking back, I was lucky to actually get back to the carpark where I could crawl into the back of the car, take some very strong pills and quietly die for the next 18 hours..

My Hyperthermia occurred on the Isle of Mull (Palm Trees grow there) in Scotland many years ago ,go figure eh!! most unpleasant especially when my mates nicked off to the Pub and left me in the tent.
No sunscreen or other protection went Diving in crystal clear water and subjected my Lilly white skin to Sol ,never ever again
