Glad no one was was hurt :shock: ....and hopefully they get this cleared by the weekend as I've got a walk & fly fishing trip planned. :wink:

I saw a video of what appeared to be the rock actually falling earlier today on the news. Have had a quick look online and could not see it, does anyone know where to find it?

Was only 4 weeks ago that I walked Mt Mitchell and it looks like the rocks may have fallen off the side somewhere. Already several large landslides visible on the walk up.

looks like it was planned. A contractor used air bags to leaver the boulder out and let it slide down the side of the mountain blocking the road. :shock:
