Garmin 67i

Postby Kennewell73 » Mon 14 Oct, 2024 3:44 pm

Hi looking for some help on the Garmin 67i. I was given as a present and finding it extremely hard to use. I have used maps and compass in past and this new tech is really killing me. any tips out there? Even as simple as picking a track. For example I am going to do the Falls Hotham crossing at the end of next month. How do I get the maps onto the GPS? Hoping someone out there can point me in the right direction. I think I have broken Garmin Support team. Feeling very stupid and frustrating. Surely it can not be this hard!!!

Download a nav app on your smartphone , I use Gaia and Terra Map on iPhone , maps are downloadable by clicking on a region on the map, takes less than a minute, easier than using a Garmin IMO.

According to Garmin it comes pre-loaded with Topo maps so you should have at least those.

Maybe check out this thread if the TopoMaps are not up to scratch BUT not sure if folks have loaded them on to a 67i. Maybe someone will chime in.
