Securing tarp guylines

I am in the middle of another tarp build and I am adding a simple feature, using velcro to help contain the guylines when packing up the tarp, which I thought some may find useful. It's certainly not a new idea though you don't see it incorporated on tarps very much, most seem to use pockets so this is a simple alternative to that idea.

Think that design has a lot more applications than just tarp anchor points. Nice!

Yeah velcro is one of the worlds great inventions. The good thing about this method is that it adds very little extra time, cost or fiddle factor to the build and yet functions beautifully.

I am a little obsessive-compulsive Orion.

Bryan from TATO Gear mentioned on the Tier Gear FB page that he did work on auto retractable guylines but that the cord required was too thin and hence difficult to see in his opinion.

Maybe it's just me, but I doubt I'd ever spend the time to gather the cords like that.

I always tidy up my tent guys before packing as it avoids tangles, which makes it easier to pitch it next time around. Have thought about adding something like this as it would be quicker and neater than the usual slip-knot method I use.

Great idea but what stands out to me is the quality of the workmanship. Remind me to never show you too much of my sewing work up that close

I like to keep things organised as well NNW, cords getting tangled just annoys me ever so slightly.

Dan - I get a bit more time behind the wheel these days than you do.
