Hipbelt mod WE Alpine

Tue 24 Sep, 2013 2:42 pm

I needed to be able to get the hipbelt on my big pack a lot tighter.
Upgrading the hipbelt wouldn't work as that would make the pack ride too high for skiing
A few pix of what I came up with, poor sewing machine is taking a beating lately

These new non-slip Fastex buckles are really worth the cost

They are very new
$26- each retail I believe
A plastic variant on the anti-slip safety harness/parachute buckle, I took it off the US MOLLE hip belt

Another reason for making the mods as I have done is so I can slip a MOLLE pouch and/or waterbottle pouch onto the hipbelt. I'll post a photo of that in a short while

Not everyones style but I find keeping small stuff on the belt ready to hand very convenient and the pouches detach to fit onto the belt of my bumbag, I like the modularity, snacks First-aid kit waterbottle etc
