Windshield & stand for spirit stove - ideas?

Hi All,
I'm keen to go a bit lighter and use a small meths burner instead of gas + gear on shorter trips. Would appreciate some ideas for pot stand and windshield (perhaps integrated), including DIY ideas. I'm likely to use a smaller pot approx 740ml and base diameter 10cm.

G'day you could start with a small scale DIY (I cut up a wafer tin I had in the cupboard-app 20gms or buy some Titanium app $25 and app 6-8 gms ) screen for a small outlay on the burner and stand (or better the heavier duty version of the stand) I put up in the UL thread?

Lots o' ideas out there...off the top of my head.
Pot stand built into the stove... fancy feast/ evernew style, with a separate aluminium or titanium windscreen.

Stove with seperate trivet/ pot stand on top...seperate windscreen again.

Windscreen incorporated pot stand sloping caldera style or vertical. Holds pot in place under pot rim or stretch a heat resistant silicone band around pot at desired height.

All DIY or available online.

Tiergear also sell the x-mesh which is adjustable for different sized alcohol stoves.

My setup is light, works well and packs down into 450ml and bigger pots

I also carry a scourer so I can put the stove on it when the ground is cold. Metho stoves don't like cold ground

I made one a few years back, it works a treat.

I bought some titanium foil, cut it to height, folded the two edges so they can clip together to form a ring, it unclipped to go inside the pot. Once I'd done that I used a hole punch to make perforations one the bottom so it could breath.

A bit later I made 4 holes at the top so I could use tent pegs to hold the pot.

Photo attached (sorry about the size, posting from mobile). You can see the modified pegs at the top right, the cross stand I had as backup in case I didn't like the tent peg design.

Shield weighs about 14g, 6g for the modified pegs. I use an Evernew burner (45g I think), nothing else comes close without being much much heavier.

Everything fits in my Toaks 550ml pot with the (also MYOG) stuff sack to hold it all together.

Quick FYI (on the off chance you don't know) some parks only allow gas fires.

You can make a pretty light shield for free with a few beer cans and regular scissors

Yep. Concur.
Beer can metal is really good. Holds it's shape nicely. Wish I could get 60 cms in one piece for a better wind screen than the one I've got though.
I've still got 6 empty Coopers Ale cans in the cupboard.
Pot lid slotted so it fits in my cup. 1gm.

Whoops. Wrote a long post here about things available to buy which did not belong in a MYOG discussion. Removed the irrelevant stuff and not much interestingly left. Sorry all.

I use a foil screen made with aluminium from a disposable bbq tray as a windbreak. I prefer the ability to fold it up and the reduced risk of slicing my fingers open over the beer can option but it comes at a cost of being a lot more flimsy. Both options are so close to free it's worth the experiment to see which suits you better.

Caldera Cone, I am on a long cycle tour at the moment and I am using one daily. It is very efficient.
The only thing I have done to modify it is to make a disk with the same circumference as the stand. Makes it even more efficient.
