Are you aware of any good step by step how to's for making tarps with a 'parts list etc'. Not sure what the actual cost is to buy and make vs say a terra rossa gear one....If there wasn't much in it I'd probably just buy made so I get one that's not crap!
Evan has designed a tarp specifically for my hammocks, its longer and has more pronounced cat cuts than his other hammocks. It is made from 20denier silicone coated nylon, with a 3.5m ridgeline and weighs a little over 300grams in the stuff sack. Price will be $175.

I am going to put together a tarp build and have taken more detailed photo's, but one of the best step by step tarp tutorials is this one:
http://www.teamgunnparker.com/blackcat_tarp/Black_Cat_Tarp.htmI have a tarp kit on the site which has everything that's needed and it costs $98 for the tarp in the above posts including thread. If you used 20d fabric instead of the 30d it would be about $80.
