Hi Bushwalk Stove Brains Trust
I want a Windscreen for my Soto Windmaster. Using:

4Flex pot support: D 145mm
Snowpeak 1 litre pot: D: 150mm, H 74mm

Found this https://www.flatcatgear.com/shop/ocelot-soto-windmaster-4-flex/ but only works with 4 flex post support folded, not extended, and maximum diameter pot of 107mm

Not being crafty at all, I thought I'd just go with 3/4 wrap windscreen, unless anyone has any other ideas???

a good windscreen needs to be half-way up the side of the pot,  at least a 3/4 wrap and you need a gap 'right around the pot' of about 15 – 20 mm.

What's best /lightest way to stabilise/fasten windscreen given gap? Wire?
Could I safely increase 3/4 wrap to 80%?, 85%? (to use both in winter snow camping and summer)

Dimension advice?
Do my calculations allowing 15-20mm gap and 3/4 wrap seem OK?

Diameter Pot D =150mm +30-40mm gap=D 180mm -190mm, Circumference =565m-597mm,  75% wrap= 424mm-448mm  (25% gap= 141mm-150mm)
Height 100g canister + stove + 1/2 way up pot =190mm
Height 230g canister + stove + 1/2 way up pot =215mm

Can't find > 200mm ti foil, so would only be 30% up pot (not 50%) with 230g cannister unless anyone has suggestions of where to get 220mm or 230mm Ti Foil?

I've made a couple myself, and my preference is for titanium over aluminium simply because titanium tends to keep its shape whereas aluminium becomes a dented/creased mess. Both will cut you to the bone as soon as look at you, so I fold about 3mm of the edges of Ti foil over (using a kitchen countertop edge and steel ruler) and use a hammer to planish the creases down. If you need to make any holes, a punch is the way to go rather than trying to drill it (I mean a steel punch from Bunnings, but a hole punch for paper will probably work while also ruining the punch)

Your calculations look fine. I wouldn't sweat it on getting the screen the full 50% up the pot; mine only go about 1/4 of the way up and they work fine.

I presume I'd still need 3/4 wrap to stop cylinder overheating?

I used that linked screen with a canister stove for a while (a furno cheapie) and never felt it was going to blow up but the risk is there no doubt. The metal sheet is easy to fold using a ruler so you can fold over the 'v' cut to be wider if you prefer.
