Sierra Designs Mojo 3 tent for sale $400

Mon 11 Feb, 2013 6:26 pm

I recently purchased this tent and, while I'm delighted with it, it's a lot bigger than I had in mind. Yes, it's a 3 person tent, so I shouldn't have been surprised... I elected to get the 3 person tent after reading a review suggesting the 2 person was a bit "cosy". I have decided for my intentions the 2p would have been plenty sufficient, so if I can find a buyer for this 3p one, I will down-grade as I do like the design features.
This tent is brand new and unused. I have set it up once, which was quick and straight forward. It's very spacious, good headroom and footprint, but still packs up to a reasonable size. My scales agree with the packed weight adverstised at 1.8 kg - which I'd be happy with for a 2 person, let alone this 3 person tent.

Here's what Sierra Designs says about it's tent:

I am selling the tent + footprint for $400.

So what's the downside, for you? That's pretty damn light for what you get!

Yeah, that's why I got it :-) As I tend to hike alone or with only one other, the smaller 2p will be more space efficient when packed. Basically, I'm happy with this tent, but think I wouldn't find the 2p (with which I will replace it) any less comfortable. I'm not a big person, but I think this tent would be luxury if I were and wanted to share with another large/tall person, or between 3. I'd have both if the budget would stretch.
