Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

Long term, rental. Nothing big and flashy, but weatherproof and, well, big enough. Ideally something like what I have here, a self-contained cottage/granny flat type thing, in a rural or semi-rural area (eg, no street lights). Power, ADSL (as a minimum, NBN preferred), decent bathroom, no outdoor dunnies. Enough room for all the bookshelves and their contents (and future additions).
Plus enough secure storage for the kayak, diving gear, walking gear, bike, etc. Bit of a garden (esp for vegies) would be nice but not essential.

There are plenty farms in the Northern Midlands that have vacant cottages on them which farmers often rent out. I know a few of the local farmers in my local area if you would like me to ask around for you?

Yes, please, thank you very much, doogs. Midlands would be good, was thinking about the Oatlands area but I can cope with being a bit further north. It's not like Tassie is so big that it'll make much of a difference. Sounds like just the sort of thing I want.
Gee, there are some lovely people in here. xxxxxx

Thanks, but full sized 3 bedroom houses are a bit over the top for one person on a very limited budget. I have one or two things in the pipeline already.

Are you going to tell us vaguely where you are now you've arrived?
Obviously coastal, but there's a lot of coast in Tassie!

Welcome back to Tassie anyway, NNW - not that you'd probably be into that sort of thing!
