Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

Maybe I should have listed these separately but they were used as a pair. They do sell for around $250- USD sometimes and these early ones were probably much better made than some of the new ones with welded adzes and they have wonderful balance.

moonie, seriously, these are items that should be kept and hung above the fire in the family room.
Maybe in 20 years they will be worth more.
Good luck
Were you hanging out with Anderl Heckmair or something?

I agree they are truly beautiful. I also worry that you will not be able to get a price that is anywhere near their sentimental value to you. I know some people that may go for that kind of thing, I'll ask around.

I wish I could keep them, but I have other commitments and need to pay for winter, also the advice is they are no longer safe to use, even if wrapped with CF and epoxy.

Just bumping so you can see how much some folk are willing to pay for a collectors piece. My 40cm is actually over what I thought it was worth already

Hey Moondog. Have you got all the photos of them you want for sentimental value before they go? eg in context with other cool stuff or whatever? Looks like you'll do well.

I'll take more pictures before I post them off

Moondog, looking at the eBay links, you"ll soon be rolling in cash.....
eBay is a wonderful thing....shame more people don't use it.

Well they all sold. I'm more than a little sad to sell off my past but I had to pay for this winter some how but they went for about what I thought they were worth as collectors pieces
