FS - Woman's One Planetpack and sleeping gear

Mon 13 Mar, 2017 12:18 am

Hi folks. Over the last few years I've been purchasing bits of camping gear to do parts of the Bibbulmun. Most of it I've hardly used. My life situation has changed quite dramatically over the past year with a new relationship. The only downside is he uses a wheelchair, so the hiking has gone by the wayside. As a result I'm selling some of my gear to put towards a mountain bike. He's getting a handcycle bike so we can do parts of the Munda Biddi together. One door closes and another one opens!

The gear I'm selling is:
1. One Planet - McMillan Bushwalking Pack (used half a dozen times)
  -Colour Selector: Savvy/Black
-Harness Size Selector: Female 2 (80 Litres)
2. Exped Synmat UL 7 Sleeping Mat Series (used a few times)
3. One Planet - Camp Lite -3 Sleeping Bag - Small (never used)
4. Sea To Summit Thermolite Reactor std Sleeping Liner (never used)

All up it cost me $985 to buy all the items. Selling them for $700 firm. I'm based in WA but will post at your expense.

Send me a message if you're interested!

Thanks, Ang

No reason why a Wheelie can't go bushwalking.
Just a little more limited in the tracks you can use and the distance you can travel

This is true Moondog and we've done a few tracks with a low gradient. But it takes enormous energy and the going is pretty slow. We're lucky that we have some great bike tracks as well as walking tracks in WA, so using a geared bike means we can cover more distance and see a bit more. Trying to find a compromise that we can both enjoy.

Save for a powered Off-Road chair?

Where's the fun in a powered wheelchair?! He's much to energetic for that. This is the bike he's getting: http://www.greenspeed.com.au/Hand.Magnum.html. There are no plans for hardcore mountain biking, we will be looking for flat bike tracks. The important thing is we are both out in the bush together getting exercise and both enjoying it.
