Very sensible, but how did you manage to buy undersized boots?

I'd be tempted, just to have a backup pair, but I think I wear 7 1/2. They are such lovely boots, but . . .

Tis' a sad tale....
I like tight fitting shoes usually.
So I brought a pretty tight fit.
Wore them around the house a bit, they seemed ok.
Then did 30k in them. Got the worst blisters ever. (Blisters got infected, doctor said I was going to loose my foot, blah blah, blah! )
Since the I'm not game to wear them.
Shame because they are beautiful boots.
