(TAS)Packs For A Purpose

Fri 29 Jul, 2011 10:03 am

These packs are would be great for people starting out for overnight walks and longer if the weight is kept down.

'One' can do no more than offer them though (at a good price) (theres no accounting for taste lol) and if they don't sell or continue to be slow, maybe we cant give them away

So... They will stay on ebay for a while longer and then likely be listed closer to summer. Meanwhile... if anyone can suggest (ill leave it to you to provide some sort of evidence/ explanation)/ liaise with a group/charity/family doing it tough (who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity) etc that could benefit from one/some, please just ask (they will fit down to larger teens, 150cm or so... we may be able to throw in a few other bits to get 'a family started..). We have a lot left and they have served us well...

Hi, this might be a good lightweight overnight pack for me, but I would need the large size.

Thanks Phil... yes, they are a nice pack

For anyone in a position to buy outright they are as per ebay listing (the usual 5% off for members and half price postage for tassie members), all sizes available still.

Hey mate I'm looking at getting into some overnight walks and looking for a cheap pack that'll do me until I figure out if I'll keep it up. How do you think the Mountainsmith PCT 45 will go for a 184cm tall guy? Is that pack still available and where are you located?

The packs are in Devonport, theyre listed still on ebay for now: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... :MESELX:IT and there are still a few size large left.
I can post it to you (say $10 post)? Of course you can return it if it doesn't work out (so long as you cover the postage both ways)..

My niece Claire could use one of the smaller womens packs (CDT 42/69L) - shes just started doing some walks with her guide group and is borrowing my gear at the moment - which is a bit on the big size for her. She'd be very grateful for any assistance with setting her up with some gear - I'd be happy to pay for the postage to NSW (and considering one of the larger packs for myself - that I would buy :D )

Cheers, Shawn

Hey mate i was reading your post on the market square thing, if you were going to give away any packs/ bits and bobs etc im sure id love to have them, me and a group of friends from school are doing a program called world challenge and it is costing quite allot so free gear is greatly appreciated. http://www.worldchallenge.com.au/ . The trip will involve us most likely painting a school, trekking in the himalayan foothills and some sight seeing. Cheers, matt.
