Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

Thats right!
Im after something industrial !
Looking to get into some heavy duty projects soon.
I thought that some of the creative minds on here may just have, or know someone who has one laying around not getting used.
Age and condition are no problem.
Cheers everyone.

There is a bloke here in Geelong that usually has a decent selection of S/H machines.
What are you after, single head? Tailors machine.Bartacker?. Straight zigzag or chain stitch?? Walking foot? What lift?

Well beggars cant be choosers, But a machine with a walking foot would take my fancy. Straight stich is always fine, Zig Zag is a nice but not mandatory by my criteria.

What are you contemplating sewing?/ multiple layers of webbing will need a slower machine and a higher lift for instance also if you want to change to bonded nylon in a heavy weight ( say M20 ) you would need a bigger machine just to take #24 and bigger needles.
I take a drive over when he opens tomorrow and have a look for you but give me as much info on your needs as possible.
last time I looked in there his prices ranged form $500- to over $7k ( computerised multiple function machine ) he also sometimes has dedicated bar-tack and flag-tack machines

Hi Moondog, Thanks for the offer, but dont go out of your way. I thought someone may have one in the basment collecting dust.
I will sew basicly anything I can get under the needle. Including fingers
Looking to do some canvas (>=12oz) and leather work in the near future.

Its a beautiful Singer 96K41
Built in the late 1940s its still going well.Motor sounds great too!
I stripped the whole thing and re-timed it and then somehow put it back together. Will stitch anything I need it to and if it cant stitch something then that shouldn't be stitched .
