[Hobart] LOST....... BUT NOW FOUND GPS

Sat 24 Dec, 2011 5:09 pm

I seem to have lost my Holux fun trek :( , ironic really losing your GPS. I did a circuit from the Chalet, along the Organ Pipes track, up the ZigZag ,down the Panorama track and back to the Chalet weekend before last. It was in my pack at the start and now it is not. Worst of all, it has my memory map micro SD with all my Tassie maps in it. Black soft case, bright green Holux, keeping my fingers crossed.
cheers

owch fella that was an expensive trip.... email memory map and you may be able to get a license replacement for a new chip - and then you can remake the card.... just need a unit to put it in then

The old "manual waypoint" method comes good once again...
Glad to hear a happy ending to this one. I was going to be a smart alec and add something like "you think it would find its own way" or something but thought better of it.

I guess you will be purchasing a carabiner to keep it attached to your pack now  got to love a good news story especially at Christmas :)

I'm glad you can see the irony in losing your GPS. I am having great difficulty resisting this topic...
