FOR SALE (LAUNC) North Face Waterproof Pants W/ BIB

Tue 14 Feb, 2012 10:14 am

Hi. I have a pair of North Face Mountaineering Rain Pants with full braces and side zips for sale. SIZE LARGE

They are under good condition as have only been used for approx 15 days (mostly on Overland/Walls, no scrub bashing) but were replaced on the fact they are too big.

I have approx a 33 waist, but they would better suit between 35-37 waist.

Disclaimer: I purchased them in Nepal from a GENUINE North Face Retail Shop. They have worked well including on a 10 day downpour Overland Track. The side zips have only two zips per side (I think 3 is better). I purchased them for approx $160 (that was on a clearance rack)

Am happy to sell for $60 + Postage (or can arrange to meet/deliver) if you live in Launceston

36 is my waist size, if there a lot lighter than my Macpac Expedition Event pants, I might be interested, but need a model number so I can do some research.

I'm not 100% sure on this. They are Goretex 3L and I'd say that going by the North Face's current line its an earlier 'Free Thinker'.

Seam tape is coming off slightly around the crotch.

They are not particularly light. Quite bombproof.

Hi NickD. In that case, I'll give them a miss. I'll stick with my Macpac Event trousers for now. There bombproof and comfortable to wear, just a tad on the heavy side. Something like 700-800grams. Wouldn't mind getting something about 200-300grams for track hiking.
