Macpac Glissade trekking backpack (size 3) - Midlands TAS

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

Macpac Glissade trekking backpack (size 3) - Midlands TAS

The pack is in fantastic condition. A little bit of authentic Tasmanian mud and a little sun bleaching to give it that "used' look. There is a miniscule hole 1-2mm on the side panel of the pack (see photos below).

RRP $459.95 (currently on sale for $275.95)
Price $140 pickup or $170 delivered within Australia.
Reason for selling- I prefer a mountain style pack rather than a trekking pack. Looking to replace it with another Macpac pack.

Excuse my ignorance but size 3 means the capacity? How many litres is that? Cheers.

Size 3 is the harness size

Find your Macpac back length...

Locate your C7 cervical vertebra. Working down your neck, it's the highest vertebra that you can feel protruding near the base of your neck. No need to press hard, you should feel it easily through your skin. This point is usually a bit higher than your shoulders.
Its easier if someone helps you with this step. Measure vertically from your C7 to the floor in cm. Alternatively, mark the height off accurately against a wall or door frame with a piece of removable tape.
Find your Iliac crest. That's the highest point of the top of you hip bone at the side. Make sure you are not taking the front of your hip bone.
Measure vertically from your Iliac crest to the floor in cm. Alternatively, mark the height off accurately against a wall or door frame with a piece of removable tape.
Work out the difference between the two heights in cm. This is your Macpac back length. It is typically between 32 and 44cm for women, and between 37 and 54cm for men.

With the current model, the S3 gets a slightly higher capacity than the S1 & S2 (75lt vs 70lt).

Not sure if this applies to a slightly older model, however I would assume that due to the pack being slightly bigger due to the larger harness that this would be the case.
