Found : water bottle on Du Cane Range

I'm not sure if the owner wants it back but I've found a water bottle on Falling Mountain (Du Cane Range, Tassie).

I'm more interested to discover when it was lost (2m down a crevice) and if there is any story attached.

It was certainly of value to me. I'd lost the top of my water bottle on the push up through the interminable scrub from Du Cane Gap only to discover that the back-up bladder had also sprung a leak - I was making do with plastic and rubber-band over the bottle mouth.

It took 5 minutes with my stock to gingerly lift it from it's resting place.

Well, no response is disappointing.

The bottle had remnants of some 'energy' drink (blueish) and I had imagined some desperate story about how they had struggled on up to Falling Mt summit, dehydrated and desperate, only to find the tarn dry ... or some such story.

Oh, well, it's a robust metal bottle but at 160g I can't see myself using it.
