[FS- Melb.] WE Lost World Pack- Large, Forest Green $300

Hey folks

I'm selling my WE Lost World Pack ($300 size large)- the model is from around 2006 and is described here: http://wildernessequipment.com.au/techsheets/WE%20WEB%20PDF%20LOST%20WORLD.pdf and here http://wildernessequipment.com.au/detail.php?Code=Lost%20World. The Lost World hasn't changed much, its still the same 100+L capacity bombproof beast.

Pickup is fine in Melbourne- otherwise I'm not sure what postage would cost; if requried we can work it out and I'll send the receipts.

Condition
* This pack has been treated with care and has seen about 5-6 weeks worth of use in SW Tassie.
* I have never used the lid so its actually in as-new condition- I like my gear simple and the single compartment rolltop has always been sufficient
* I have melted a specialised canvas wax into the canvas itself (both main pack and lid). This does not damage the material but does give it a more weathered look and a slightly stiffer feel than brand new canvas. I have done this for 2 reasons; 1) it has made the canvas considerably more waterproof and 2) it has reduced the amount of water that the canvas will soak up, thereby reducing the overall weight of the pack when wet. This does not mean the pack is completely waterproof but only very occasionally have I found the inner canvas to become damp during prolonged heavy rain. I've included a picture of the canvas supporting a couple of litres of water.
* The original accessories (pictured) are included as well- namely the inserts which allow you to custom mould the shoulder strap curvature, the webbing lengths for customising the max. reach of the hipbelt wings, and the little bits of fabric for repair.

Info
I've seen a lot of people asking questions about the Lost World over the years and its features are pretty well explained. As it is so expensive and so rarely stocked in shops, however, I thought I'd add a few extra thoughts given this pack is so different to the standard 60-80L packs which are so common.

* This has been my goto pack for remote 4-season trips of 12+ days with no resupply. It carries heavy loads over long distances very well, has massive capacity and is unbreakable.
* I have narrow hips though I've found the harness comfortable to about 35kg. Above that I'm not sure any harness is comfortable (or maybe I am just too weak). As a comparison I have a One Planet pack and while I find it luxurious up to about 25kg the harness rapidly becomes less comfortable with heavier weights. Personally I find that carrying loads of x < 20kg is pretty comfortable with most internal frame packs- but its with the really heavy stuff that a harness can dictate the difference between being just tired or wholly miserable. Though this is always a fairly personal thing its just my 2 cents given it is so impossible to tell in a shop how something feels after 20km.
* It's no ultralight; but leaving the lid behind will save you 500g.
* I find the swinging hipbelt to be really useful for air travel- letting hipbelts hang out during baggage handling is just begging for trouble
