For Sale: Tarptent Scarp 1 (Hobart, TAS)

Up for sale is my Tarptent Scarp 1. I bought it in November of last year and have only used it a handful of times, always with the groundsheet.
There are no noticeable signs of wear and tear as I take care of my gear. As a result the tent is in excellent condition.

The brilliance of this tent is it's flexibility, especially for the weight. With the crossing poles and solid inner you have a four season tent, with the mesh inner you have a great summer tent. With two vestibules it is also great for foul weather as you can cook in one and have gear in the other. Oh and it can also sleep two people as well (if required). This was my first Tarptent and I suspect not my last. The only reason I am selling it is because I quickly realised I nearly always need a two person tent and have bought something more suitable. If this was a Scarp 2 it would not be leaving, believe me.

The following extras are included in the price:
  • Crossing poles
  • Mesh inner
  • Solid inner
  • Tyvek grounsheet
  • Seem sealing done by Tarptent
All up this tent cost me $540 by the time I got the extras and had it shipped. Will sell for $360 posted Aus wide.
Oh and it still has the repair kit, instructions and I will include a copy of the invoice.

[Yes, Pun intended.]

Nice tents the Scarp 1's are. Someone will get a good shelter.

Yep a good tent for sure. Seems you got done Robert. I paid $415 delivered for the same set of gear.

I have now spent several very windy nights in it. Saturday night I was smashed on the West Coast and it stood up well again.

Yes mate NOT free to AUS postage, it is around $50.00 + and they do not quote a price for the Tyvek Ground sheet .

Tarptent.com prices are $12 for the ground sheet, and $25 for the seam sealing.

$360 is a good price for what is being offered, particularly with such little use.
