FS: Three overseas frame packs

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

FS: Three overseas frame packs

I have too many packs left over from gear reviews for Backpacking Light. I am advertising them here rather than at BPl because the postage to America is too high. So Australian walkers benefit.
Contact me via roger@backpackinglight.com, not through here. Paypal preferred.

Lowe Alpine
Zepton ND50, 1.08 kg, 49 L, dk purple, retail US$180, sell $50
See BPL review at http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin ... art_2.html
See Lowe Alpine page http://www.lowealpine.com/eng/prod_app_ ... type=woman
Single compartment pack, WOMEN's model
Not used beyond a day walk - we have too many packs ... but it went well on a day walk.

Bask (Russia) Light 69, 69 L, 1.18 kg, grey/black, retail price unknown, sell $50 plus P&P
SOLD
See BPL review http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin ... eview.html
This is a single compartment pack of traditional design: straight sides, side compression straps, a short throat, conventional lid with single pocket, and webbing attachment points running up two sides. It is quoted at 69 L capacity, and mine weighed 1.18 kg. The lid pocket is quite large. The fabric is tough.
I have used it over Kosciusko region for 5 days, and through Europe for 2 months doing the Via Alpina Red route. It went well up to ~13 kg load - beyond that you start to notice it on your shoulders.

GoLite
SOLD
Quest Mens M, 1.42 kg, 65 L, lt blue, retail US$175, sell $50
See BPL review at http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin ... art_2.html
Not shown on GoLite web site right now: they are only showing sale items.
Used on a several day walk in Wollemi NP, where it went well. Claims 65 L, but seems pretty huge. Can be shrunk by cunning hooks. Tough fabric but light for all of that.

Cheers

If anyone in Hobart is keen on the Golite, I have the exact same pack if a trial fitting is required.
